T Course Online Studienkolleg (Engineering)

If you want to study engineering, technical courses in Germany or other related programs, this T Course (T Kurs) is the right one for you! To participate in T Course (G Course, M Course, W Course) Studienkolleg of OSK, you are required to prove German language competence equivalent to B1 certificate (Telc, Goethe) or DSH 1. Then, we welcome every student participating in the Studienkolleg T courses of OSK, without requiring any entrance exam.

The T course at the OSK consists of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The courses provide thorough instruction in the important methods and contents of various fields of science. The subjects are all taught in German and are intended to prepare the participants for the assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung – FSP) at the university in Germany. The successful completion of the T course (T Kurs) in the Studienkolleg allows you to apply for most of the technical and engineering course in Germany, under certain conditions. In more detail, you need the Studienkolleg T Course if you want to be enrolled in one of the following degree programs:

Architecture, Automobile Engineering, Automotive Systems, Business Informatics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Clothing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environment Engineering, Food Technology, Geography, Geology, Informatics, Landscape, Conservation Materials, Engineering Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Meteorology, Mineralogy, Photo Engineering, Physics, Process Technology, Production Engineering, Ship Engineering, Sound and Video Engineering, Statistics, Supply Engineering, Surveying, Textile and Surface Design, And many more…

After the preliminary course, a written exam will be administered. During the main course, intermediate examinations will be administered, and all the main courses end with final assessments in all the main subjects.  The final examinations are based on the assessment exams FSP administered at the universities, and consequently an excellent preparation tool.

Mathematics Course

Class: 48 lesson hours
Self study: 144 lesson hours

Details: The preliminary course should consolidate mathematical foundations and prepare students for the mathematics lessons of the main course.  The course consists of elementary mathematics, quadratic equations, logarithms, and systems of linear equations, curve discussion, extreme tasks, reconstruction tasks, integral calculus, and vector-level equations.  Further topics include geometries and analysis of trigonometric functions.  In analysis, derivatives, differentiation rules, whole and ruptured rational functions, exponential functions, and curves are covered.  Additionally, analytic geometry is an important area, with vector algebra, plane equations, and scalar product.

Physics Theory & Exercise

Class: 24 lesson hours
Self study: 96 lesson hours

Details: In physics, mechanics is essential and covered extensively.  Statics and strength theory, kinematics, and kinetics are covered.  The course also covers impulse, force, Newtonian axioms, magnetic-electrical quantities, the Coulomb Law, electrical circuits, Ohm’s Law, and AC voltages.  Optics radiation, atomic and nuclear physics are also of interest in the area of vibrations, waves, interference, types of radiation, and the interaction of radiation matter. Based on the physics theory the students are offered variety of relevant exercises in order to practice different problems.

Chemistry

Class: 24 lesson hours
Self study: 96 lesson hours

Details: In chemistry, basics such as acids and bases, indicators, fields of physical chemistry, and organic chemistry are covered.  Physical chemistry covers, among other things, energy conversion, reaction kinetics, and thermodynamics.  Organic chemistry considers hydrocarbons, functional groups, and natural products.

Informatics

Class: 12 lesson hours
Self study: 48 lesson hours

Details: Fundamental of basic informatics programming through an intensive crash course is included with this major as well.
